The Carlton N. Parker Award is the most prestigious award presented to an individual by the National Procurement Institute (NPI).
Established in 1975, this award was developed as a symbol of recognition from the Officers, Directors, and members of a grateful organization for dedicated service and outstanding contributions to the development and progress of the National Procurement Institute and the public procurement profession. In 2002, the SAFOS Award was renamed as the Carlton N. Parker Award for Outstanding Service, in honor of his many contributions to the advancement of the National Procurement Institute and the procurement profession. It has been awarded to 46 distinguished members to date.
The criteria for receiving the award, as established by the NPI Board of Directors, requires that the nominee has made outstanding contributions to the development and progress of NPI and the public procurement profession.
All NPI members are encouraged to nominate a public procurement professional who is deserving of this award. Nominations must be submitted to Brian Garrity at firstname.lastname@example.org no later than Friday, October 16, 2020. The nomination form is available at www.npiconnection.org.
