COVID-19 Update

The health, safety and well-being of our membership is at the forefront of our mind as we plan for the 2020 NPI annual conference. Like you, we are concerned about the well-being of our membership in the face of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic.  We hope this email will help address those concerns.

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) currently rates the health risk of COVID-19 as a serious public health risk, and as a result NPI will continue to closely monitor the situation. For the latest information, visit

With the development of potential travel restriction we are working on alternative and flexible delivery methods of our 2020 NPI Annual Conference being held at The Westin Peachtree, in Atlanta, Georgia.

The NPI Board of Directors are meeting regularly to monitor the progression of the virus based on credible sources, as updates become available we will take the appropriate actions to provide the most up-to-date information relevant to our membership. Conference plans will be posted on our web-site:, social media, and through email to our membership community.

The following are steps you can take to protect yourself from COVID-19:

  • Clean your hands often
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds especially after you have been in a public place, after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
  • If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Cover all surfaces of your hands and rub them together until they feel dry.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us here at NPI, all contact information can be found at
